yesterday we woke up with the question "is llm generated alt text worse than literally nothing"
which unfortunately is the kind of question it's impossible to answer without trying one
so. we ended up collating a lot of general thoughts on large language models being generally bad, some alt text examples from a local model and why they're inadequate, and a (whatever the non-human inclusive version of humanist is) rant at the end??

flawWiki URL has been updated and the redirect works without any additional fuss! Honestly compared to most of the maintenance activities I do on the server, it was on the 2/10 on the difficulty scale.
Now the slightly more complex bit of running backups and then updating the wiki software…
