First time getting back into proper runs and I set a new PB! I’d been focusing mainly on my boss performance and it kinda shows here, but there’s still so much room for improvement that I really wanna keep going!

Enjoying tea time

It would have only been made better if I had the foresight to brew up a cup to enjoy at the same time.

After the first couple of games, it was a mad dash to try and make our tea sets as nice as possible. Didn’t win, but it was very enjoyable.

Over the last couple of days I’ve been on small #repair adventure.

I fixed my jeans which developed a horizontal tear around the knee using an iron on patch, which should mean I should be able to get few more months longer before I need to replace em.

Also my headphones got some replacement cushions, since the old ones were literally dissolving and the foam was popping out of the seams.

Overall, I’m quite pleased with it!

The irony of me expecting either my computer giving it up or me, and I’ve just gone and achieved the goal that of reaching a sub-hour run in SM!

I was completely blown away at it too—I was so sure that the run was going to fall apart at so many points, but I managed to hold on and I now have a new PB of 59:48!

Thinking back to my first timed run I did in 2023, it was a 1:21:03 and I was thinking surely there wasn’t anything else to be found right? Oh how wrong I was lmao

Not sure what I’ll do next since it was such a big goal of mine… Maybe I’ll go back to map rando for a bit.

Partly as a gift to myself and also because I like flailing with no direction, I caved and bought some watercolours for my birthday.

I cheaped out on the brushes and palette tin (and maybe the paper), but not on the paints lmao

Gave pickling a go to see how it goes, I’ll report back later to let you know how it went!

Needed only one red onion for the 500mL jar, had plenty of diluted white vinegar on hand.

Chopped it up, blanched for 10 seconds, then dropped it into the jar with the vinegar, a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of sugar!

Gave it a stir, then into the fridge!
