I keep hearing watch time is the most important thing for for Youtubers, not views. I was checking some of my stats (for the first time ever, lol), it seems I need to be optimizing my channel for the highly lucrative viewer market of those watching on Wii.

They have the highest per view watchtime out of any other operating system, clearly based on the evidence I should be putting all my effort going forward into Wii focused content.

2024 unit updates:

- feet (ft) are now paws (pw)
- yards (yd) are now tails (ta)
- ounces (oz) are now pounces (pc)

A community Discord instance I'm in slipped under a boost level threshold and instantly all hell broke loose.

32 emotes got picked at random and locked behind a "Boost to access" wall, including emotes we were using in a react-to-sign-up poll that was on-going. No one could click the locked emotes any more.

An ongoing 720p60 video call was forcefully terminated to force the callers to re-share at 720p30.

Files larger than the new lower file size limit are inconsistently inaccessible; no rhyme or reason to which ones are or aren't.

Fortunately we have backups for all of this stuff we were piping through Discord but wow.

PSA: delete your old Photobucket account now! Don’t put it off.

You know those emails you’ve been getting for a year from Photobucket threatening to delete your old account and you were like lol who cares and ignored them?

Turns out they didn’t delete them anyway, they repurposed the business as a broker of biometric data to AI companies and they’re using your old pictures for that. You have to actually go in and delete your account to opt out, and you only have until Monday, July 22 to do it.

It’s 2024 we saying yiff unironically again
