The actual Linux experience is having a thousand Discord installers due to how badly the update system is with that program and that program alone.

@sugar even with a package manager, you still can sometimes get jumpscared by the "i'll figure it out myself" dialog immediately after updating

@yaodema @sugar snap should absolutely not be the default way to manage software but in this instance it was useful to do it this way

apparently the firefox snap is turbofucked
