Update: I have started down the foliage rabbit hole and won't be back for a while

Trying to nail down the form and angle on this piece. It's been a couple of hours so far—I'm hoping to be done with this by end of today before I start a shading pass.

I'm not looking forward to putting in all of the foliage that I haven't drawn in yet...

One big challenge I’ve had with the markers is trying to get grey 08 on without smudging it too much.

I don’t think I quite nailed it this time—just need to lend a lighter hand next time.

Got a set of fineliner pens to try my hand at physical media drawing.

Pretty alright with how the result came out. Feels different compared to working from the tablet.

Guess I'll see if it sticks after a few more attempts.

Not sure if I’m happy with these eyes yet

Life had some curveballs to throw so didn’t get much time to work much on it, but I’m much happier now up at iteration 8. Dealt with the tail position which is a bit more sensible.

Iteration 6 and I’ve fixed some of the problems only to discover my forms still aren’t fitting properly and my leg and foot proportions are still off 😵

Turns out that being forced to think about the pose makes the pose look good (Gee golly what a newsflash).

As it turns out I need to do more anyway since I've massively put the right leg wayyy out of proportion, the lower leg is in the wrong position as well as the tail... and I didn't figure out where the right arm could go to keep the pose readable

Onto the next sketch :T
