So in the realm of "I have no idea what I'm doing": I asked a vtuber artist a bit about the process of getting a custom vtuber done and I basically learned you typically need two different people to do the model and the texture, and sometimes a third for the rigging.

I think I'm more suited to Live2D... but I wanna do something with this rather than just it be a thought I never act on.

So like, I dunno, is there a standard process for what you need to just find an artist doing this stuff and show up and go "I throw money at you, I get vtuber model/Live2D rig in return"? Is this documented anywhere?

@trysdyn there’s not really a standard way to getting something bespoke done from what I’ve seen

Finding an artist that can do all 3 parts (modelling, texturing, rigging) is quite rare! I know of one artist that is capable but can only open once every few months because it’s quite a substantial amount of work

What I’ve seen more commonly is modifying/customising an existing VTuber model base (which I do), or port over a model from like VRChat (which I’ve heard is a bit of work)
